It has evolved over the years under several different names (CPU Manufacturing, Electrovert USA, HohMor Manufacturing, Electro-Prep Corporation) and is a valid California corporation in good standing. Until March of 1998, Electro-Prep was directed by two of the original founders, Mr. John P. Hohmann and Mr. George R. Morones. Mr. Hohmann is a graduate in chemical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. After graduation, Mr. Hohmann was employed by Cutter Labs for over seven years in the chemical engineering department, assisting in the manufacture of blood products and other pharmaceuticals. In 1962 Mr. Hohmann organized Metadyne, Inc., a manufacturing machine shop which specialized in heart valves as well as precision machine parts and components for the electronics industry. Since 1972 Mr. Hohmann has been an active participant in the design and manufacture of high quality lead forming equipment and production aids at Electro-Prep Corp. In March of 1998 Mr. Hohmann retired from Electro-Prep, however is still associated with the company on a consulting basis. | ||
Mr. Morones has a degree in Business and Industrial Management from San Jose State University. His previous experience includes Purchasing Agent at Fairchild Semiconductor, Sales Manager at Components Unlimited Supply, Inc. and Western Regional Manager for Electrovert USA Corp. Mr. Morones has been an integral part in the sales, distribution and manufacture of high quality lead forming equipment and production aids at Electro-Prep Corp. In March 1998, upon Mr. Hohmann's retirement, Mr. Morones became sole owner of the company. | ||
Ms. Cathie Drake is Office Manager and has been employed by the company
since 1972. She is responsible for accounting, order processing, billing
and inventory control. The balance of the staff consists of one draftsman, three die maker/machinists, one CNC mill operator and one final assembler. Being a small cohesive shop, everyone works well together and contributes efforts wherever and whenever necessary. |

Presently, Electro-Prep occupies approximately 4,500 sq. ft. of manufacturing and 400 sq. ft. of office space at 3377 Woodward Avenue, Santa Clara, California 95054-2628, in the heart of the Silicon Valley, forty-five miles south of San Francisco.
